The New Balance 530 was released back in 1992, made to be a high-performing running sneaker, thanks to its light weight and ABZORB heel cushioning for maximum comfort and durability. However, due to hard competition at that time, the sneaker did not become anything more than a mediocre running shoe. It had to wait until 2013, when the chunky dad shoe started to gain traction. The sneaker was quickly adopted by the fashion zeitgeist; it checked all of the boxes, and a makeover helped catapult the New Balance 530 back into the limelight.
