Yeezy Slide
One of the most popular models of the brand is not a sneaker, but a slipper. It was in 2018 that Kanye West unveiled the first edition of the "Yeezy Slipper". This happened while Kanye was wearing the slides to a wedding. Pictures of this went viral as it looked like the slippers were way too small and badly fitted. Ye quickly responded to the criticism by claiming that this was the "Japanese way" of wearing the slippers and that your foot should hang over the back of the slipper by one to two centimetres. The model is today rarely seen on foot but have until today played an important role in how fashion industry has evolved.
In 2019, a year after the release of the "Yeezy Slipper", adidas and Yeezy joined forces for the release of the "Yeezy Slide". The model consists of a thick "EVA Foam" material, which makes the slide durable and lightweight.
