New Balance 2002R
New Balance’s 2010 release of the technically-advanced 2002 running shoe introduced the full-length N-ERGY, which essentially has its own suspense system to maximize support with shock absorption. Like the newer silhouettes over the last two or three decades, these didn't quite pan out at first, One of the main reasons was probably the initial retail price tag, which was as high as 250 USD. With a sole borrowed from the New Balance 860v2, a "R" suffixing the silhouette, New Balance managed to push down the price to almost half in 2020. Along with the 550, the 2002R is certainly one of the most sought after models in modern era, most likely thanks to Salehe Bembury and the limited deconstructed version named "Protection Pack".
