This is the Umbro – West Ham United 2016/17 away football shirt, shown here in the long-sleeve version with Payet 27 on the back. It is one of the cleanest West Ham away shirts of the modern era, built around an all-white base with subtle claret and blue trim, the betway sponsor on the chest, and the special crest marking the club’s first season at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. With Dimitri Payet 27 on the back, it becomes even more tied to a very specific and memorable West Ham period.
What makes this shirt stand out is how restrained it is. West Ham kits can sometimes lean heavily into claret-and-blue detailing, but this one keeps things much more minimal.
