The Tempo Cape Verde 2022 Home Football Shirt marked a significant transition for the national team, as it was the first kit produced by Tempo following the end of their partnership with Adidas. This jersey debuted during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021), which took place in early 2022 due to pandemic-related delays.
The 2022 home shirt features a deep navy blue base adorned with vertical stripes on the front. Two of these stripes are solid navy, while the other three incorporate a lighter shade with a subtle graphic pattern. A standout element is the large shark graphic near the bottom of the shirt, symbolizing the team's nickname, "Tubarões Azuis" (Blue Sharks). The collar and sleeve cuffs are accented in gold, adding a touch of elegance to the design
Cape Verde wore this kit during AFCON 2021, held in Cameroon. The team advanced to the Round of 16, where they faced Senegal, the eventual champions. Despite a valiant effort, Cape Verde was eliminated after a 2–0 defeat.
