This is the Liverpool 2005/06 away shirt made by Reebok, shown here with Alonso 14 on the back. It features a white base, the Liverpool crest, the Reebok logo, and Carlsberg as the front sponsor. It also has Barclays Premier League sleeve patches.
The design is typical of mid-2000s Reebok Liverpool shirts. The main body is white, with red curved side detailing, black trim, and a relatively technical panel construction. It also uses subtle tonal graphic detailing across the front, which adds texture without making the shirt look busy.
Liverpool used this away shirt during the 2005/06 season, the campaign immediately after the club’s Champions League win in 2005. Under Rafael Benítez, Liverpool finished third in the Premier League and also won the FA Cup. Xabi Alonso was one of the key players in that side, alongside Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Pepe Reina, Luis García, and Peter Crouch, which makes the Alonso 14 print especially relevant.
