The 2018/19 Newcastle home shirt is a traditional black-and-white striped design, arranged as four black stripes and five white stripes on the front and sleeves. The stripes are crisp and clean, harkening back to the club’s classic look rather than experimenting with heavy graphics or gradients. The shirt returns to the “regular” crest (i.e. dropping special anniversary treatments) after the previous season’s 125th-anniversary kit.
The 2018/19 season marked Newcastle United’s continuing partnership with Puma. The club unveiled the new kits in July 2018. In that era, the club was working to reestablish itself in the Premier League, balancing identity and stability.
