Inter Milan's 2003/04 home football shirt, manufactured by Nike, features Brazilian striker Adriano #10. The shirt represents an important period in Adriano's career, as he returned to Inter in January 2004 following an impressive spell at Parma. Known for his extraordinary left-footed shooting power, physical strength and technical ability, Adriano quickly established himself as one of Serie A's most exciting forwards. His return marked the beginning of a memorable period at Inter, where he would become one of the club's most recognisable players of the mid-2000s.
The 2003/04 season saw Inter Milan finish fourth in Serie A, securing qualification for the following season's UEFA Champions League. The campaign began under Héctor Cúper before Alberto Zaccheroni took charge in October 2003. Adriano returned midway through the season and made an immediate impact, scoring nine league goals for Inter during the second half of the campaign. His performances helped establish him as a central figure in the club's future, laying the foundations for his outstanding 2004/05 season, when he became one of Europe's most feared strikers.
