FC Barcelona's 2016/17 home football shirt, manufactured by Nike, features Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez #9. Worn during his third season at the club, this shirt represents the final campaign of Barcelona's legendary MSN attacking trio of Messi, Suárez and Neymar, one of the most prolific attacking partnerships in football history.
The shirt features Barcelona's iconic blue and red vertical stripes, with subtle tonal pinstripes running throughout the fabric. The design incorporates textured blue sleeves, a modern V-neck collar and a yellow Nike Swoosh. The club crest and gold FIFA Club World Champions 2015 badge appear on the chest, while the back features Suárez's name and number 9 in yellow, alongside the UNICEF logo. La Liga sleeve patches complete the design.
The 2016/17 season saw Suárez continue his outstanding goalscoring form, scoring 37 goals across all competitions. Barcelona won the Copa del Rey and finished second in La Liga. The campaign is particularly remembered for the historic 6–1 Champions League comeback against Paris Saint-Germain, known as La Remontada, in which Suárez scored the opening goal. The season marked the end of an era as Neymar departed for PSG that summer.
