Kim Källström’s time at Arsenal during the 2013/14 season was short and somewhat unusual, as his stint at the club was marred by an injury, but he still contributed in a limited role.
Källström joined Arsenal on loan from Lyon in January 2014 during the winter transfer window. At the time, Arsenal were struggling with injuries in midfield, and manager Arsène Wenger moved to bring in Källström as an experienced option to bolster the midfield. Upon joining the club, it was revealed that Källström had a back injury, which meant that he would not be immediately available for selection.
Despite the injury setback, Källström made a few appearances for Arsenal in the second half of the 2013/14 season. His first appearance came in March 2014, when he made his debut in a 4–1 win over Sunderland in the Premier League. His loan spell at Arsenal ended in the summer of 2014, and he returned to Lyon after the conclusion of his short-term contract with the club.
