This is the Arsenal 2002/04 home shirt made by Nike, shown here with Vieira 4 on the back. It features Arsenal’s classic red body with white sleeves, the club crest, a white Nike Swoosh, and O2 as the front sponsor. The Barclays Premiership sleeve patches are fully appropriate for the era, and the Vieira 4 print is one of the strongest and most iconic player combinations you can have on this shirt.
The design is a defining early-2000s Arsenal look. It keeps the traditional red-and-white identity, but the cut is cleaner and more modern than many late-1990s kits. The rounded collar, curved side panels, and subtle white piping across the lower body give it a more technical feel without losing that unmistakable Highbury-era Arsenal aesthetic. The large O2 sponsor is one of the most recognizable details of the period and is inseparable from Arsenal’s identity in the early Wenger years.
Arsenal used this shirt across the 2002/03 and 2003/04 seasons, which makes it especially significant. It was worn during the period that led into and included the legendary Invincibles campaign of 2003/04, when Arsenal went unbeaten in the league. The squad from this era included Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pirès, Freddie Ljungberg, Sol Campbell, Ashley Cole, and Gilberto Silva. That makes the Vieira 4 print especially desirable, because he was the captain, midfield leader, and one of the defining figures of Wenger’s greatest side.
