This is the adidas Manchester United 2017/18 Home Football Shirt, featuring Romelu Lukaku #9. The shirt was worn during Lukaku’s first season at Old Trafford following his move from Everton in the summer of 2017. He immediately became United’s first-choice striker and finished the campaign as the club’s leading scorer with 27 goals in all competitions, including 16 in the Premier League.
The design is a particularly clean interpretation of Manchester United’s traditional home colours, built around a bright red body with white adidas three-stripes across the shoulders. Black and white bands around the sleeve cuffs add contrast, while the buttoned round collar gives the shirt a more traditional appearance. The embroidered Manchester United crest, white adidas branding and Chevrolet sponsor complete the front.
This example features Lukaku #9 with Premier League-style lettering and numbering together with Premier League sleeve patches. The 2017/18 campaign saw José Mourinho’s United finish second in the Premier League with 81 points, their highest league position and points total since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement, while also reaching the FA Cup final.
