Manchester United's 2016/17 away football shirt, manufactured by adidas, features Zlatan Ibrahimović #9. The shirt represents the Swedish striker's debut season at Old Trafford, where he quickly established himself as one of the club's most influential players.
The 2016/17 season marked the beginning of José Mourinho's tenure at Manchester United and proved to be a successful campaign. Ibrahimović arrived on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain and scored 28 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions, becoming the team's leading goalscorer. His performances helped United secure the EFL Cup and UEFA Europa League, although a serious knee injury in April ended his season prematurely.
