This Chelsea 2014/15 home shirt was made by adidas and features Eden Hazard’s #10 nameset together with UEFA Champions League and Respect sleeve patches. It comes from arguably the defining season of Hazard’s Chelsea career, when he inspired José Mourinho’s side to a Premier League and League Cup double while establishing himself as the outstanding player in English football.
Chelsea were dominant domestically during the 2014/15 campaign. Mourinho’s side won the Premier League and added the League Cup after defeating Tottenham 2–0 at Wembley. The squad combined an experienced core of John Terry, Branislav Ivanović and Didier Drogba with players such as Cesc Fàbregas, Diego Costa and Nemanja Matić, while Hazard provided much of the creativity and individual quality in attack.
Hazard produced one of the finest seasons of his career, finishing with 19 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. His performances earned him the PFA Players’ Player of the Year, FWA Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season awards. Fittingly, it was Hazard who scored the decisive goal against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge that mathematically secured Chelsea’s Premier League title.
