This Malmö FF 2017 home shirt was made by Puma and features the club’s traditional sky-blue colours, complemented by white detailing around the collar and sleeve cuffs. The design incorporates a buttoned neckline, a subtle textured panel running vertically down the centre and Puma branding across the chest and shoulders. The Malmö FF crest is accompanied by a gold star, while the Volkswagen logo takes centre stage as the main sponsor.
One of the shirt’s most distinctive features is its combination of modern construction with traditional football styling. The white collar and buttoned placket give the design a classic appearance, while the textured central panel adds depth without distracting from Malmö’s recognisable sky-blue identity. A small Scanian flag beneath the back collar provides a connection to the club’s regional heritage.
The 2017 campaign was a historic one for Malmö FF. Under newly appointed head coach Magnus Pehrsson, the club successfully defended its Allsvenskan title, finishing seven points ahead of AIK with 64 points. The championship was Malmö’s 20th Swedish title, making them the first Swedish club to reach that milestone and earning the right to display a second gold star above their crest. This particular shirt features the single-star configuration worn before that achievement.
The squad combined experienced figures such as captain Markus Rosenberg with Anders Christiansen, Jo Inge Berget and Anton Tinnerholm. Malmö led the league from the second round onwards, securing the championship with three matches remaining. Their domestic success contrasted with a disappointing European campaign, which ended in the second qualifying round of the Champions League against FK Vardar.
