Nike - Manchester United 2002/03 Tredje Fotbollströja "NAMN"

This Manchester United 2002/03 third shirt was manufactured by Nike and features a striking royal-blue colourway with contrasting black and silver detailing. Introduced during Nike's first season as Manchester United's kit supplier, the design offers a distinctive alternative to the club's traditional red home colours. A black-trimmed crew-neck collar, matching sleeve cuffs and subtle silver piping across the lower panels give the shirt its characteristic early-2000s appearance.

The reverse features KEANE #16, representing legendary Manchester United captain Roy Keane. The white Premier League nameset is arranged in an arch above the large number 16, with black outlines and the league's lion emblem incorporated into the numbering. Keane's commanding presence, relentless determination and exceptional leadership made him one of the defining midfielders of Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United era.

The 2002/03 season was a memorable campaign for Manchester United, as Ferguson's side reclaimed the Premier League title from Arsenal. After trailing their rivals for much of the season, United produced an outstanding run of form during the closing months, eventually finishing five points clear with 83 points. The squad featured established stars such as Ruud van Nistelrooy, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Ole Gunnar Solskjær, alongside emerging talents including John O'Shea.

Keane remained a central figure in the squad despite a challenging season affected by injury and suspension. His leadership and influence in midfield were particularly important as United recovered from an inconsistent start to secure their eighth Premier League title. The campaign also marked the final season at Old Trafford for David Beckham, who departed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2003.

In European competition, Manchester United reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, where they faced Real Madrid in a memorable two-legged encounter. Despite winning the second leg 4–3 at Old Trafford, United were eliminated 6–5 on aggregate, with Ronaldo Nazário scoring a famous hat-trick for the Spanish side.

For collectors, this shirt represents an important moment in Manchester United's history: the beginning of the Nike era and the club's return to the top of English football. The royal-blue design, metallic Vodafone sponsorship and Keane #16 nameset connect it to one of United's most influential captains and another successful Premier League campaign under Ferguson.
