This Manchester City 2015/16 away shirt was made by Nike and features Sergio Agüero’s “Kun Agüero” #10 nameset together with Barclays Premier League sleeve patches. The season was particularly significant for Agüero as it marked his switch from #16 to the iconic #10 shirt, a number he would retain for the remainder of his Manchester City career.

The design features a rich midnight navy base contrasted by bright electric-blue detailing across the collar, sleeve cuffs, side panels, Nike Swoosh, Etihad Airways sponsor and monochrome club crest. Its defining feature is the tonal “Blue Moon” graphic across the sleeves, inspired by the anthem sung by City supporters, giving the shirt a particularly strong connection to the club’s identity.

Manchester City’s final season under Manuel Pellegrini saw the club finish fourth in the Premier League while securing the League Cup, defeating Liverpool on penalties in the final at Wembley. City also reached the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in their history, eventually losing 1–0 on aggregate to Real Madrid.

Agüero remained the focal point of City’s attack throughout the campaign, scoring 29 goals across all competitions, including 24 in the Premier League. One of the defining performances of his season came against Newcastle United, when he scored five times in just 20 minutes during a 6–1 victory. It was also the first campaign in which supporters became accustomed to seeing Agüero wearing the #10 that would become synonymous with the latter half of his City career.

For collectors, the combination of Kun Agüero #10, Premier League sleeve detailing and the distinctive Blue Moon design makes this one of the standout Manchester City shirts of the Nike era. Its significance as Agüero’s first season wearing #10, alongside City’s League Cup triumph and historic Champions League run, gives it an especially strong connection to one of the club’s defining modern players.
