This Juventus 2018/19 home shirt was made by adidas and features Cristiano Ronaldo’s #7 nameset from his first season in Turin. Ronaldo arrived from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 in one of the defining transfers of the era, immediately making this particular shirt and nameset one of the most recognisable combinations from modern Juventus history.
Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus entered the campaign as seven-time defending Serie A champions and extended that run by winning an eighth consecutive Scudetto, finishing on 90 points. They also won the Supercoppa Italiana, with Ronaldo scoring the only goal in a 1–0 victory over AC Milan. In Europe, Juventus reached the Champions League quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by an emerging Ajax side.
Ronaldo made an immediate impact in Italy. He scored 28 goals in all competitions, including 21 in Serie A, and was named the league’s MVP for the season. His defining European performance came against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16: Juventus entered the second leg trailing 2–0 before Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in Turin to complete a 3–2 aggregate comeback. It became one of the standout performances of his Juventus career.
For collectors, the significance is particularly straightforward: this is the first Juventus home shirt associated with Ronaldo #7. It captures his arrival in Italian football, an eighth consecutive Serie A title and the beginning of a three-season spell in Turin in which he became the focal point of the Juventus attack. The traditional black-and-white colourway and instantly recognisable Ronaldo nameset make it one of the defining Juventus shirts of the late 2010s.
