Umbro - IF Elfsborg 2018 Home Football Shirt

This IF Elfsborg 2018 home shirt was made by Umbro and features the club’s traditional yellow colours with black detailing around the sleeves and hem. The design combines a clean yellow base with a subtle tonal pattern, a black Umbro logo and Elfsborg’s historic crest. The shirt also carries Sparbanken Sjuhärad as the main sponsor, with Folksam branding across the shoulders, Pulsen on the upper back and additional sponsor detailing along both sides.

The 2018 campaign marked the beginning of a new chapter for Elfsborg following the appointment of Jimmy Thelin as manager. Arriving from Jönköpings Södra, Thelin took charge of a team looking to rebuild after several seasons away from the top of Swedish football. His first campaign proved challenging, with Elfsborg finishing 12th in Allsvenskan on 30 points, just above the relegation play-off places. 

Although the results were disappointing, the season represented the starting point of a longer rebuilding process under Thelin. He would eventually guide Elfsborg back towards the top of Swedish football, including second-place finishes in 2020 and 2023. The 2018 shirt therefore represents the beginning of a managerial era that would become an important part of the club's modern history.
