This Manchester United 2010/11 home shirt was made by Nike and features Nani’s #17 nameset together with Barclays Premier League sleeve patches. It comes from arguably the strongest individual season of Nani’s Manchester United career, as Sir Alex Ferguson’s side won a record-breaking 19th English league championship and reached the Champions League final at Wembley.
United reclaimed the Premier League title with 80 points, securing their 19th English championship and moving beyond Liverpool’s previous record of 18. The team combined an experienced core of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nemanja Vidić and Edwin van der Sar with attacking options including Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov, Javier Hernández and Nani. United also reached the Champions League final, where their season ended with defeat to Barcelona at Wembley.
Nani was particularly influential during the title-winning campaign. He recorded nine goals and 14 assists in 33 Premier League appearances, giving him 23 direct goal contributions in the league. His performances earned him a place in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year, alongside United teammates Vidić, Van der Sar and Berbatov, and he was also voted Manchester United’s Players’ Player of the Year.
