This is the Barcelona 2009/10 home shirt made by Nike, featuring Thierry Henry #14. The shirt comes from Henry’s third and final season at Barcelona, completing a three-year spell in which the French forward made 121 official appearances and scored 49 goals for the club.
The design returns to Barcelona’s traditional blaugrana stripes, combining alternating blue and deep red panels with fine red pinstripes. Yellow detailing is used for the Nike Swoosh, UNICEF sponsor and trim around the V-neck and sleeves, while the Catalan Senyera appears at the back of the collar. This example also features the LFP sleeve patch and the gold FIFA World Champions badge centrally on the chest, commemorating Barcelona’s victory at the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup.
This example is particularly notable for its Henry #14 nameset. Henry had been a key figure in Barcelona’s historic treble-winning 2008/09 campaign before playing his final season at the club in this shirt. He made 21 La Liga appearances and scored four league goals in 2009/10 as Pep Guardiola’s side successfully defended the Spanish title. Henry left Barcelona in the summer of 2010, having won La Liga, the Champions League, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time in Catalonia.
