This Chelsea 2019/20 home shirt was made by Nike and features Willian’s #10 nameset together with Premier League sleeve detailing and Hyundai sleeve sponsor. It comes from Willian’s final season at Stamford Bridge, when the Brazilian was one of the most experienced players in a young Chelsea side undergoing a major transition under newly appointed manager Frank Lampard.
The 2019/20 campaign was an important transitional season for Chelsea. With Lampard taking charge and several academy players establishing themselves in the first team, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Reece James and Fikayo Tomori all became prominent members of the squad. Chelsea nevertheless finished fourth in the Premier League to secure Champions League qualification and reached the FA Cup final, while their Champions League campaign ended against eventual winners Bayern Munich in the Round of 16.
Willian remained a key figure throughout the campaign, making 47 appearances and scoring 11 goals across all competitions. Nine of those goals came in the Premier League, while he also scored the winner away against Lille in the Champions League and found the net against Liverpool in Chelsea’s FA Cup run. During the season he passed both 300 Chelsea appearances and 200 Premier League appearances, significant milestones during his seventh and final campaign with the club.
