This Liverpool 2010/12 home shirt was made by adidas and features Daniel Agger’s #5 nameset together with Barclays Premier League sleeve patches. Worn across the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons, the shirt spans a period of considerable change at Anfield and the emergence of a new-look Liverpool side featuring players such as Luis Suárez, Andy Carroll and Jordan Henderson alongside established figures including Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Agger.

The shirt is particularly associated with the 2011/12 campaign under Kenny Dalglish. Liverpool reached both domestic cup finals at Wembley, defeating Cardiff City on penalties to win the League Cup and claim their first major trophy since 2006. They also reached the FA Cup final, where they were beaten 2–1 by Chelsea. Despite finishing eighth in the Premier League, the two Wembley appearances made the season one of the more memorable Liverpool campaigns of the period.

Agger was an important part of Liverpool’s defence during the era and formed a particularly strong partnership with Martin Škrtel. In 2011/12, the Danish centre-back made 34 appearances across all competitions, including 27 in the Premier League, and scored twice. He also featured four times during Liverpool’s League Cup-winning run. Known for his composure in possession and willingness to carry the ball out of defence, Agger became a popular figure during his eight-year spell at Anfield.
