This Arsenal 2021/22 home shirt was made by adidas and features Martin Ødegaard’s #8 nameset together with Premier League sleeve patches and the No Room For Racism patch. The season was particularly significant for Ødegaard, who completed a permanent move to Arsenal from Real Madrid in August 2021 after spending the second half of the previous campaign on loan in North London. He was handed the #8 shirt upon his return.
The design features Arsenal’s traditional red body and white sleeves, complemented by navy detailing around the collar, sleeve cuffs and adidas Three Stripes across the shoulders. The Emirates Fly Better sponsor appears in white across the chest, while the combination of red, white and navy gives the shirt a particularly classic Arsenal appearance within the club’s modern adidas era.
The 2021/22 campaign represented an important stage in Mikel Arteta’s rebuild.
