This is the Southampton FC home shirt from the 2010/11 season, made by Umbro. The Umbro double-diamond sits on the right chest, while the Saints crest on the left is the special 125th anniversary version, marking 1885–2010. That anniversary detail makes this shirt stand out from standard Southampton releases.
The design is clean but bold. A white base is cut by a strong red diagonal sash running from the left shoulder down toward the right hip. It’s a modern twist on a very classic football design cue, giving the shirt a continental, almost retro-cup feel.
The fold-over white collar adds a slightly old-school touch, which works nicely with the sash. Combined with the anniversary crest, it gives the shirt a heritage vibe without looking dated. It’s one of those kits that looks just as good casually as it does on the pitch.
The 2010/11 season was Southampton’s first full campaign back in League One after relegation the previous year. Under Nigel Adkins, this was the start of the climb that would take the club back up the divisions.
