The Santos 2021 away shirt by Umbro adheres to the club’s iconic black-and-white striped identity but with a modern twist. The black and white stripes are crisp and traditional, yet the shirt incorporates a subtle “lightning bolt” pattern within the black stripes that adds texture and depth when viewed up close. The collar features a simple crew-neck design, trimmed in black, and the sleeve cuffs are white, offering clean contrast to the striped body. This blend of classic striping and nuanced patterning gives the shirt both heritage appeal and contemporary style.
Released on April 14, 2021, the away kit was part of the 2021/22 Umbro collection for Santos, introduced to mark the club’s 109th anniversary. This kit was used throughout the 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A campaign, where Santos finished 8th in the league, and in the Copa Libertadores fixtures. It continues Santos’s legacy of elegant black-and-white striping while celebrating the club’s heritage with modern flair.
