This is England’s 2006 away shirt by Umbro, shown here in the long-sleeve version with Beckham 7 on the back. It features the classic England crest with the single star above it, marking the 1966 World Cup win, as well as the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany patch on the sleeve. With Beckham’s nameset, it is one of the most recognisable England shirts from the mid-2000s.
The design is much bolder than the home version. Instead of white, this one uses a deep red base with subtle tonal detailing and gold numbering, which gives it a much more dramatic and premium look. The contrast between the red shirt and Beckham’s gold 7 is especially strong, and that combination is a big reason why this shirt remains so memorable.
