This Celtic 2001/02 home shirt was made by Umbro and features Henrik Larsson’s iconic #7 nameset. The shirt was worn during Martin O’Neill’s second season in charge, as Celtic followed their 2000/01 domestic treble by retaining the Scottish league title in dominant fashion.

Celtic were outstanding domestically in 2001/02. O’Neill’s side retained the Scottish Premier League with 103 points from 38 matches, winning 33 and losing just once. The title was secured with a 5–1 victory over Livingston at Celtic Park, with Larsson scoring a hat-trick. Celtic also returned to the Champions League, having eliminated Ajax 3–2 on aggregate in qualifying, before competing in a group containing Juventus, Porto and Rosenborg.

Larsson followed his extraordinary 53-goal Golden Shoe season with another prolific campaign. He scored 35 goals in all competitions, including a league-leading 29, and remained the focal point of a side featuring Chris Sutton, John Hartson, Stiliyan Petrov, Paul Lambert, Neil Lennon and Ľubomír Moravčík. His hat-trick in the title-clinching win over Livingston was a fitting conclusion to another championship-winning season.

For collectors, the Larsson #7 configuration makes this one of the defining Celtic shirts of the early 2000s. The classic hoops, ntl: sponsorship and distinctive white side panels immediately place it within the O’Neill-Larsson era, while its association with a record-breaking 103-point league campaign gives the 2001/02 shirt particular significance.
