This 1994/95 Third Football Shirt was produced by Umbro for Celtic FC during the mid-1990s, a period defined by bold experimentation in kit design. Umbro’s iconic double-diamond logo appears on the chest, paired with the classic Celtic crest featuring the shamrock emblem and “1888” founding year.
The shirt carries the well-known CR Smith sponsor across the front, a partnership that became synonymous with Celtic kits throughout the 1990s and remains instantly recognisable among collectors today.
The 1994/95 Celtic third shirt is one of the most striking alternative kits of the decade. Built on an off-white base, the design features sweeping green and yellow graphic panels flowing diagonally across the body, creating a dynamic and unmistakably Umbro look.
Asymmetrical sleeve colouring — green on one side, yellow on the other — reinforces the bold, fashion-forward approach that defined third kits in the mid-90s. A subtle all-over Umbro jacquard pattern is woven into the fabric, adding texture and depth, while the green fold-over collar with yellow detailing ties the colour palette together perfectly.
During the 1994/95 season, Celtic continued to navigate a competitive and transitional period in Scottish football, striving to reassert themselves domestically. While results were mixed, the club’s visual identity remained powerful, and this third shirt became one of the most memorable designs associated with the era.
Today, the 1994/95 Celtic third shirt is highly sought after, prized for its bold Umbro graphics, classic sponsorship, and unmistakable 90s aesthetic — a standout piece of Celtic and football kit history.
