This is the Celtic 2002/03 Away Shirt, worn by Henrik Larsson #7 during one of the greatest seasons in the club's modern history. Although Celtic narrowly missed out on the Scottish Premier League title, the campaign is forever remembered for the club's remarkable run to the UEFA Cup Final, with Larsson once again leading the attack and cementing his place among football's elite strikers.
Manufactured by Umbro, the 2002/03 away shirt features a striking gold colorway complemented by dark green side panels and trim. A subtle tonal graphic fades across the lower half of the shirt, adding depth to an otherwise clean and elegant design. The classic ntl:home Digital TV sponsor, embroidered Umbro logo and the traditional Celtic crest complete one of the club's most distinctive away kits of the early 2000s. The lightweight construction and timeless V-neck collar make it a standout design that remains highly regarded by collectors today.
The 2002/03 season was one of the most memorable in Celtic's history. Under Martin O'Neill, the club reached the UEFA Cup Final in Seville after eliminating Blackburn Rovers, Celta Vigo, VfB Stuttgart, Liverpool and Boavista. Although Celtic were narrowly beaten 3–2 after extra time by FC Porto, the team's performances earned widespread admiration across Europe. Henrik Larsson was instrumental throughout the campaign, scoring 40 goals in all competitions, including both goals in the UEFA Cup Final, and once again established himself as one of Europe's finest forwards.
For collectors, few shirts are as iconic as those worn by Henrik Larsson during the Seville campaign. The 2002/03 away shirt perfectly captures one of the greatest eras in Celtic's history and represents the peak of Larsson's legendary spell in Glasgow. Featuring the Larsson #7 nameset, it is an essential piece for collectors of Celtic memorabilia and one of the most sought-after shirts of the early 2000s.
