This is the Newcastle United 2010/11 Home Football Shirt by Puma, featuring Hatem Ben Arfa #37 in the Premier League nameset. Worn during Newcastle's return to the Premier League, it is one of the most iconic modern Magpies shirts, combining the club's timeless black-and-white stripes with the classic Northern Rock sponsor.
Puma retained Newcastle's traditional striped identity while introducing a cleaner, more athletic silhouette. The shirt features a simple V-neck collar, embroidered club crest, embroidered Puma logos and the unmistakable Northern Rock sponsor. Finished with official Barclays Premier League sleeve patches, it perfectly captures the look of Newcastle's first season back in England's top flight.
The 2010/11 season marked Newcastle United's return to the Premier League after winning the Championship the previous year. Under Chris Hughton and later Alan Pardew, the Magpies comfortably secured survival, finishing 12th. The campaign included memorable results such as the famous 5-1 victory over Sunderland and the dramatic 4-4 comeback against Arsenal, where Newcastle recovered from four goals down in one of the Premier League's greatest matches.
This shirt is printed with Hatem Ben Arfa #37, the gifted French winger who joined Newcastle from Marseille in the summer of 2010. Although his first season was heavily disrupted by a serious leg injury after just a handful of appearances, Ben Arfa immediately showcased the flair that would make him a cult hero at St James' Park. His close control, fearless dribbling and spectacular solo goals earned him a special place in Newcastle folklore, particularly during the seasons that followed.
For collectors, this shirt represents the beginning of Newcastle's Premier League resurgence and the arrival of one of the club's most exciting modern talents. The official Ben Arfa #37 nameset makes it especially desirable, capturing the short-lived but unforgettable early chapter of his Newcastle career.
