This is the Ivory Coast 2019 Away Shirt by Puma. Worn during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, the shirt represents the beginning of a new era for Les Éléphants following the retirement of many members of the nation's celebrated golden generation.
Produced by Puma, the shirt features a crisp all-white base with subtle tonal graphics woven into the fabric, giving the minimalist design added depth. Orange Puma logos are paired with the Ivory Coast Football Federation (FIF) crest, embroidered with two gold stars to celebrate the country's 1992 and 2015 Africa Cup of Nations titles. Green and orange trim around the collar reflects the colours of the Ivorian flag, while Puma's lightweight performance construction ensures excellent comfort and breathability.
The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations marked a transitional tournament for Ivory Coast. Led by experienced players such as Serge Aurier, Max Gradel and Wilfried Zaha, alongside emerging stars including Nicolas Pépé, the Ivorians reached the quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by eventual champions Algeria on penalties after a dramatic 1–1 draw. Although they fell short of the title, the tournament laid the foundations for the squad that would later return to the top of African football.
For collectors, this shirt represents an important chapter in Ivory Coast's modern history, bridging the gap between the legendary Didier Drogba and Yaya Touré era and the next generation of stars. Its clean, sponsor-free design and timeless national colours make it one of Puma's most elegant international releases.
