This is the Italy 2009 home shirt made by Puma, shown here with Gattuso 8 on the back. It features Italy’s traditional azzurro blue base, white Puma logos, the FIGC crest with four stars, and the FIFA World Champions 2006 badge on the chest. The number 8 is for Gennaro Gattuso, who remained an established part of the national team during this period.
The design is defined by its tonal diagonal graphic pattern across the front, including repeated Italia text worked into the fabric. It also has a V-neck collar, curved side panels, and a tricolore-style detail running down one side, all of which are characteristic of Puma’s late-2000s international templates. Compared with earlier Italy shirts, this one has a more graphic-driven look.
Because this is from the 2009 period, it belongs to the years after Italy’s 2006 World Cup win, which explains the continued presence of the World Champions badge on the chest.
