Nike and Manchester United continued their dominant partnership into the 2008/09 season, with the AIG sponsor front and center. This period represents peak Nike-era United—performance-driven kits tied to sustained domestic and European success.
The 2008/09 away shirt features a clean white base with navy detailing and subtle red accents, staying true to United’s heritage while keeping a sharp, modern look. The structured V-neck and contoured side panels give the shirt a refined, athletic silhouette. Finished with RONALDO 7, it captures Cristiano Ronaldo at the height of his United career.
The 2008/09 season saw Manchester United win the Premier League for a third consecutive time and reach the UEFA Champions League final. Cristiano Ronaldo remained the club’s talisman following his Ballon d’Or win, making this shirt one of the final and most significant Ronaldo-era United kits before his move to Real Madrid.
