This Manchester United 2002/03 third shirt was manufactured by Nike and features a striking royal-blue colourway with contrasting black and silver detailing. Introduced during Nike's first season as Manchester United's kit supplier, the design offers a distinctive alternative to the club's traditional red home colours. A black-trimmed crew-neck collar, matching sleeve cuffs and subtle silver piping across the lower panels give the shirt its characteristic early-2000s appearance.
The reverse features KEANE #16, representing legendary Manchester United captain Roy Keane. The white Premier League nameset is arranged in an arch above the large number 16, with black outlines and the league's lion emblem incorporated into the numbering. Keane's commanding presence, relentless determination and exceptional leadership made him one of the defining midfielders of Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United era.
The 2002/03 season was a memorable campaign for Manchester United, as Ferguson's side reclaimed the Premier League title from Arsenal. After trailing their rivals for much of the season, United produced an outstanding run of form during the closing months, eventually finishing five points clear with 83 points.
