Manchester City’s 2015/16 away shirt kept the club’s modern identity intact with a dark navy base and bright sky-blue detailing, designed by Nike with a sleek athletic cut and Dri-FIT performance fabric. Subtle tonal patterns in the sleeves and the simplified crest gave the shirt a refined look, while the Etihad Airways sponsor sat cleanly across the chest. It’s a minimalist, sharp design that reflects City’s transition into one of Europe’s dominant clubs.
The 2015/16 season was Manuel Pellegrini’s final year before Pep Guardiola arrived, marking the end of an important chapter in City’s rise. The team reached the Champions League semi-final for the first time in club history, with players like Sergio Agüero, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Yaya Touré carrying the side. Touré, wearing number 42, remained a central figure — combining power, technique and leadership during City’s peak mid-2010s era.
Lightweight and breathable, the shirt is built for match performance but carries strong collector value thanks to its clean aesthetic and connection to City’s historic Champions League run. A modern classic from the late Pellegrini years and a standout piece for Premier League collectors.
