This Liverpool 2023/24 home shirt was manufactured by Nike and features Darwin Núñez's #27 Premier League nameset. The shirt was worn during Jürgen Klopp's final season as Liverpool manager, marking the end of an era that transformed the club into one of Europe's leading teams. The campaign also represented Núñez's second season at Anfield, as the Uruguayan forward continued to establish himself in Liverpool's attacking line-up.
The reverse features DARWIN #27 in white Premier League lettering and numbering with black outlines. The shirt also includes the Premier League sleeve patch, completing its league-specific appearance. Núñez joined Liverpool from Benfica in the summer of 2022 and became an important part of Klopp's attacking options alongside Mohamed Salah, Luis Díaz, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo.
Liverpool enjoyed a strong 2023/24 campaign, spending much of the season competing with Manchester City and Arsenal for the Premier League title. Under Klopp, the team eventually finished third with 82 points, securing qualification for the following season's UEFA Champions League. Liverpool also won the EFL Cup, defeating Chelsea 1–0 after extra time at Wembley, with Virgil van Dijk scoring the decisive goal in the 118th minute.
Núñez played an important role throughout the season, contributing 11 goals and eight assists in 36 Premier League appearances. His pace, movement and direct attacking style made him a constant threat to opposition defences. One of his most memorable moments came against Newcastle United in August 2023, when he scored twice as a substitute to secure a dramatic 2–1 comeback victory despite Liverpool playing with ten men. He also scored a stoppage-time winner against Nottingham Forest in March 2024, keeping Liverpool's title challenge alive.
