This FC Barcelona 2008/09 away shirt, produced by Nike and sponsored by UNICEF, comes from one of the most historic seasons in football history. Featuring Messi 10 on the back, it represents the year Barcelona completed their legendary treble under Pep Guardiola.
The design uses a bold yellow base with a narrow Blaugrana stripe running vertically beside the crest, a minimalist reinterpretation of Barça identity away from home. The Nike swoosh sits opposite the embroidered club crest, while UNICEF branding reflects Barcelona’s long-standing charitable partnership. The clean layout, dark trim and sharp colour contrast make this one of Barça’s most recognisable modern away kits.
Constructed with NikeFIT performance fabric, the shirt offers lightweight breathability and a classic late-2000s athletic fit. Mesh ventilation panels and durable polyester construction made it suitable for elite match performance while remaining comfortable for everyday wear — exactly the type of shirt collectors and fans still chase today.
The 2008/09 season saw Barcelona win La Liga, Copa del Rey and the Champions League, completing the club’s first treble. Messi scored in the Champions League final against Manchester United in Rome, confirming his rise as the world’s best player. This shirt captures the beginning of Guardiola’s golden era and Messi’s transformation into a global icon.
