Nike produced Barcelona’s 2007/08 home shirt to mark the club’s 50th anniversary at Camp Nou (1957–2007), which is why the crest sits inside a laurel wreath with the years stitched beneath. The classic blaugrana stripes were kept bold and traditional, paired with yellow detailing and UNICEF on the chest—still part of Barça’s famous charity partnership era.
The shirt uses NikeFIT performance fabric with mesh ventilation panels and a slightly slimmer silhouette compared to earlier 2000s kits. Subtle gold trim on the sleeves and hem nods to the anniversary theme without breaking the traditional identity.
The 2007/08 season itself was transitional. It was Frank Rijkaard’s final year, ending an era that had brought two La Liga titles and the 2006 Champions League. Lionel Messi, wearing number 19 at the time, was emerging into a global superstar. The season ended trophyless, but it set the stage for Pep Guardiola’s revolution the year after.
