This kit marks the first-ever Chelsea home shirt designed by Nike, following the end of Adidas’s sponsorship—ushering in a new design era for the club. The shirt is characterized by an almost entirely royal blue body with minimal white details, creating a clean and classic appearance. The aesthetic was widely praised upon release for its elegant simplicity. One enthusiast described the design as “glorious,” noting that it avoided unnecessary complexities like two-tone sleeves.
Although Chelsea finished 5th in the Premier League, they ended the season strong with an FA Cup victory over Manchester United. Kanté was central to midfield and contributed to the club’s success both defensively and creatively.
