This is Celtic’s 2010/11 away shirt by Nike, with Freddie Ljungberg 7 on the back. It is a shirt that really stands out, not least because of the sharp lime-green colour, the black collar and the dark trim that frame the overall look. Together with the large Tennent’s sponsor across the chest, it has a very clear early-2010s identity, from a period when Nike often pushed things further with away kits.
What makes this version especially interesting is of course the Ljungberg print. Freddie Ljungberg is associated first and foremost with Arsenal and the Swedish national team, which makes his short spell at Celtic a more unexpected and therefore more collectible chapter. That is why this shirt feels more special than a blank version. It does not only represent a season, but also a rare player-club connection that stands out in both Celtic’s and Ljungberg’s story.
In season context, the shirt reflects a period when Celtic were still in a slightly transitional phase, but were continuing to carry a strong identity.
