This Brazil 1998 home football shirt was manufactured by Nike and features Ronaldo Nazário's iconic #9 nameset. The shirt was worn during the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, where Brazil reached the final with Ronaldo emerging as one of the tournament's biggest stars.
At just 21 years old, Ronaldo entered the tournament as the reigning Ballon d'Or winner and one of the most exciting players in world football. Playing under manager Mário Zagallo, he scored four goals during Brazil's run to the final, including a memorable brace against Chile in the round of 16.
Brazil eventually lost 3–0 to hosts France in the final at the Stade de France. Ronaldo's participation became one of the tournament's most discussed stories after he suffered a convulsive episode hours before kick-off but was ultimately included in the starting lineup.
Featuring Ronaldo's legendary #9 nameset and one of Nike's most recognisable international designs, this shirt represents a defining era in Brazilian football and the early career of one of the greatest strikers of all time.
