This is the Arsenal 1999/01 away shirt made by Nike, shown here with Henry 14 on the back. It features a bold yellow base, navy side panels and sleeves, the Arsenal crest, a black Nike Swoosh, and SEGA as the front sponsor. The Henry 14 print is fully era-correct, as Thierry Henry wore number 14 and quickly became one of the club’s defining players during this period.
The design is one of the most recognizable Arsenal away shirts from the turn of the millennium. Instead of using the club’s traditional red-and-white palette, Nike went for a much bolder contrast with bright yellow and dark navy, giving the shirt a sharper and more modern look. The V-neck collar, large SEGA sponsor, and the clean panel construction make it feel very typical of late-1990s and early-2000s Nike football design. It is a shirt that stands out immediately and is strongly tied to Arsenal’s style in this era.
Arsenal used this away shirt across the 1999/00 and 2000/01 seasons, during a period when the team was one of the strongest sides in England and Europe. The squad included major names such as Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pirès, Tony Adams, Martin Keown, Freddie Ljungberg, and Marc Overmars across this broader era. That makes the Henry 14 print especially desirable, because he was becoming the face of Arsenal’s attack and one of the most feared forwards in world football. Because of that, this shirt has strong collector appeal both as a classic Nike-era Arsenal piece and as a shirt associated with Henry’s rise at the club.
