This is the Liverpool 2018/19 home shirt made by New Balance, shown here with ORIGI 27 on the back and Emirates FA Cup sleeve patches. It features Liverpool’s traditional red base, the LFC crest, Standard Chartered as the front sponsor, and the New Balance logo on the chest. The Origi 27 print is correct for the season, as Divock Origi wore number 27 during the 2018/19 campaign.
The design is defined by its tonal geometric jacquard pattern across the front, which gives the shirt more texture than a plain red template. It also has a polo-style collar with white trim, white shoulder inserts, and white side piping, which gives it a cleaner and slightly more classic look. At the upper back, the shirt includes the 96 emblem, referencing Hillsborough remembrance, which is an important detail on Liverpool shirts from this era.
Liverpool used this home shirt during the 2018/19 season, when Jürgen Klopp’s side finished second in the Premier League with a very high points total and, most importantly, won the UEFA Champions League.
