This is the Liverpool 2018/19 home shirt made by New Balance, shown here with M. Salah 11 on the back. It features a deep red base, white New Balance branding, the L.F.C. crest, Standard Chartered as the front sponsor, and subtle white trim on the collar and shoulders.
The design is a clean and modern take on Liverpool’s traditional home identity. The fold-over collar gives it a slightly smarter look than some of the more minimal New Balance shirts, while the tonal jacquard pattern across the front adds texture without taking away from the all-red foundation. Small white details on the shoulders and collar help break up the red nicely, and the overall look feels sharp, balanced, and very wearable. It is one of those shirts that stays faithful to Liverpool’s classic visual identity while still feeling distinct within the late-2010s period.
This shirt is tied to the 2018/19 season, one of the most important in Liverpool’s modern history. Jürgen Klopp’s squad included Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino, Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, and James Milner, and the team went on to win the UEFA Champions League. That makes the Salah 11 print especially desirable, because he was one of the main stars of the side and one of the defining players of Liverpool’s modern resurgence. Because of that, this shirt has very strong collector appeal as a Champions League-era Liverpool home shirt with one of the most iconic namesets possible.
