This is the Kappa IFK Göteborg 2019 home shirt. It features the club’s classic blue-and-white vertical stripes, the IFK Göteborg crest with the gold star above it, the Serneke sponsor across the chest, and Kappa’s signature Omini logos on the shoulders and chest. It is a shirt that keeps Blåvitt’s traditional identity very visible, but frames it through a more athletic and more body-shaped Kappa template than many of the club’s earlier home shirts.
The design feels clean but slightly more sculpted than a traditional straight-striped shirt. The central stripe composition is bold and symmetrical, while the raglan-style shoulder construction and white sleeve inserts give the shirt a more technical appearance. Compared with some adidas-era IFK Göteborg shirts, this one feels less formal and a little more modern in its expression. The collar is simpler, the overall silhouette is tighter, and the Kappa shoulder branding adds a distinctly late-2010s feel. Even so, it remains unmistakably Blåvitt because the blue-and-white striping still does the heavy lifting.
This shirt is most closely associated with IFK Göteborg’s 2019 season, when the club continued to lean on one of the strongest visual identities in Swedish football. What makes it appealing is that it does not overcomplicate that identity. Instead, it updates the classic Blåvitt home look with a modern cut, cleaner sponsor integration, and a supplier aesthetic that feels very specific to Kappa’s era with the club. For collectors of IFK Göteborg, Allsvenskan, or modern Kappa shirts, it is a strong and instantly recognisable home-shirt example.
