The shirt is built around a clean white base, dominated by a strong royal blue chest band that cuts across the torso, giving it a striking yet simple design. The crew neck carries blue detailing, and further blue panels appear on the sleeve ends and lower sides, adding balance. A thin red outline borders the chest band for extra definition, subtly linking to Boro’s home identity.
This away shirt was worn during the 2006/07 Premier League season, Gareth Southgate’s first as manager. Middlesbrough finished 12th in the league, with key figures like Yakubu, Mark Viduka, Stewart Downing, and Jonathan Woodgate featuring regularly. The design is remembered both for its clarity and for carrying the anniversary detailing.
