This shirt is a modern home jersey from IFK Göteborg, produced by the Swedish sportswear brand Craft for the 2022 season. It keeps the club’s iconic blue-and-white vertical stripes, a tradition deeply rooted in IFK Göteborg’s identity and one that has become instantly recognizable in Swedish football.
The design combines classic elements with a more contemporary athletic cut. The V-neck collar and fitted sleeves give the shirt a sleek modern appearance, while the lightweight performance fabric is made for comfort and breathability both on and off the pitch. Craft incorporated ventilation details around the shoulders and sides, emphasizing functionality and movement for players and supporters alike.
One of the most noticeable features is the large “SERNEKE” sponsor across the chest, reflecting the commercial style of modern football kits while still balancing well with the traditional striped layout. The club crest is embroidered in gold and blue, standing out sharply against the white stripe and reinforcing the proud heritage of the club. Small yellow details on the sleeves and inside the collar subtly reference the Swedish national colors, adding an extra layer of identity to the design.
Compared to older IFK Göteborg shirts, this version feels more technical and performance-oriented, yet it still respects the timeless Scandinavian simplicity the club is known for. It represents a modern era of Swedish football where heritage, minimalism, and sportswear innovation come together in a clean and stylish way.
