This is the Sweden 2016 home shirt made by adidas, shown here with Zengin 22 on the back. It features Sweden’s classic yellow base, bright blue detailing, the Svenska Fotbollförbundet crest on the chest, and blue adidas branding. The shirt also carries the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament patch and Respect badge on the sleeves, which place it directly in Sweden’s European Championship campaign in France.
The design feels unmistakably mid-2010s adidas. The bright yellow body is enhanced by tonal horizontal hoops across the front, which give the shirt more texture and depth than a plain single-colour design, while the blue three stripes running down the sides and the blue collar trim keep the overall identity distinctly Swedish. It keeps the traditional yellow-and-blue colour balance intact, but presents it in a cleaner and more athletic way than the 2012 Umbro shirt. The Zengin 22 nameset gives it a more squad-specific character, which makes it stand out from the more commonly seen Ibrahimović versions of the same design.
This shirt is most closely associated with UEFA Euro 2016, when Sweden’s squad included Zlatan Ibrahimović, Kim Källström, Andreas Granqvist, Emil Forsberg, Martin Olsson, Sebastian Larsson, Albin Ekdal, and Erkan Zengin. Zengin was part of the side during this period and wore number 22, which makes this version especially interesting for collectors looking for something less obvious than the standard star-player print.
