Real Madrid's 2020/21 home football shirt, manufactured by adidas, features legendary Spanish defender and club captain Sergio Ramos #4. Released during his final season at the Santiago Bernabéu, the shirt represents the end of an extraordinary 16-year career with Los Blancos. Having joined Real Madrid from Sevilla in 2005, Ramos established himself as one of the greatest defenders in the club's history, renowned for his leadership, defensive ability and remarkable goalscoring record. His time at Madrid included five La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League trophies, cementing his status as one of the club's most iconic captains.
The shirt features Real Madrid's traditional white colourway with subtle tonal graphics inspired by the club's heritage. Vibrant pink adidas three-stripe detailing runs down the sides, adding a distinctive contrast to the otherwise minimalist design. The Real Madrid crest sits opposite the navy adidas logo, while the Emirates Fly Better sponsor completes the front. A white V-neck collar, breathable fabric panels and adidas AEROREADY technology provide a modern finish. Ramos' name and number 4 appear on the back in navy lettering, accompanied by the Real Madrid crest at the base of the number.
The 2020/21 season marked Zinedine Zidane's final campaign of his second spell as Real Madrid manager. Despite battling injuries and a demanding schedule, Madrid remained competitive throughout the season, finishing second in La Liga, just two points behind Atlético Madrid, and reaching the UEFA Champions League semi-finals before being eliminated by Chelsea. Ramos' campaign was heavily disrupted by injuries, limiting his appearances during what would become his final season at the club. In June 2021, he departed Real Madrid after 671 competitive appearances and 101 goals, leaving behind a legacy defined by his leadership, decisive performances and numerous trophies.
